If you’ll take a close look at the map I’ll email you of July rainfall, you’ll find locations near your area with a rainfall total estimated at less than one inch.

The map of rainfall since Oct. 1 also shows scattered areas in green, which represent 10-20″ of rain, while surrounding areas have received 30″ or more. While you may feel alone in Milam County, look at the other areas in surrounding counties that have experienced the same thing.

There is no explanation to provide you, other than bad luck.

I have seem consistently that we get less rain then anyone else. People look at me like I am crazy when I say that but the statistics don’t lie. The last 10 days we have received a total of 1.23 the two other stations in Milam cnty have 7.02 & 4.73. This has prove out the same over the last 5 years. The data is all there on CoCoRaHS. We are at lat 30.74086 long 97.21382. Can you tell me the reasons for this or the mechanics of why this is happening? Don’t tell me that we will get our fair share,we don’t, I want to know why.
