Freezing cold tonight

Tonight will be mostly clear to partly cloudy. Breezy north winds this evening will be 15 to 25 mph, decreasing to 10 to 15 mph overnight. Wind chill readings could fall to as low as 5-15 degrees in the Hill Country, and 15-20 degrees in the Austin metro area.  Lows will range from near 30 along the Rio Grande, to the mid to upper 20s across most of South Central Texas, and near 20 in the Hill Country. Average lows for late December are in the upper 30s to near 40.

WEDNESDAY

Wednesday will be mostly sunny, but chilly. High temperatures will stay in the low 40s across the Hill Country, and upper 40s to low 50s across the remainder of South Central Texas. Winds will be north, 10 to 15 mph.
