Warmer Days Ahead?

It is no secret Central Texas has been in the midst of a cold snap over the past few weeks.  We have had one or two warm days thrown in here and there, however, generally it has been below average.  Since Christmas Day, we have only witnessed the mercury reach the 70 degree mark twice (at Camp Mabry).  If you are a fan of the warmer air, the Climate Prediction Center may have some heart warming news for you.  They are suggesting that the below average numbers will begin to move out and some warmer air may be on the way.


Here is the 6-10 day temperature outlook:

This shows we will hover right around average during that time span.  However, the above average color scheme is inching our way from the west.



Here is the 8-14 day temperature outlook:


This graphical outlook suggests we may be inching toward an above average stretch of weather near the end of the month.
