Looking Ahead At What Is To Come…

If we hit our forecasted highs, which are in the low 70′s today, this will be the 19th day out of 20 we have managed to top out above average.  It has certainly been a very warm stretch as of late, and at least for the next week or so, don’t expect too much change.  Here is the Climate Prediction Center’s 6-10 day temperature outlook.

However, notice how the western part of the US is looking at a below average stretch.  It is anticipated that the cooler air will begin to progress eastward toward Central Texas.  Here is the 8-14 day temperature outlook:

It is no secret that it has been incredibly dry around here lately.  We’ve only had one good soaking of rain in 2013, and that was back in early January.  But the CPC thinks that trend may start swinging the other way soon….
