Freeze Warning Monday MorningMarch 24th, 2013 at 4:12 pm by Jim Spencer under Weather
A late season freeze is likely in many areas of the Hill Country early Monday and Tuesday mornings. The low-lying areas in the Austin metro counties may also experience an early spring freeze. Details from the National Weather Service are below.
Clear skies along with very dry air and subsiding winds will cause temperatures to drop to near record temperatures by Monday morning. Lows are forecast to drop into the mid and upper 20s across the Hill Country with low to mid 30s across much of the rest of South Central Texas. Lows over the Rio Grande plains will not be as cold with upper 30s to near 40 degrees. Take action to protect pets, pipes and plants from the unseasonably cold temperatures tonight.
