Yesterday, the CPC released their 6-10 day and 8-14 day outlooks.   The forecasts are calculated to show the percent chance of being above average (temp/precip) or below average.   We will display the 6-10 day outlooks first, followed by the 8-14 day outlooks.

The 6-10 day period includes the dates of April 16 through April 20.

The 8-14 day period includes the dates from April 18 through April 24.

 

Spring essentially is the transition period between Winter and Summer.  This means temperature swings become more and more common, and heavy bouts of precipitation are more likely.  However, over the next couple of weeks, if the CPC’s predictions come to fruition, odds are we will end up around average over that stretch.
