Bob Barr Sues Texas–Wants Obama AND McCain Off Ballot

Libertarian presidential candidate Bob Barr is suing Texas, demanding John McCain and Barack Obama be removed from the November ballot because they missed the filing deadline.

“The seriousness of this issue is self-evident,” the lawsuit states. “The hubris of the major parties has risen to such a level that they do not believe that the election laws of the State of Texas apply to them.”

The petition also alleges that the Democratic Party’s late presidential filing falsely claimed under oath that Senator Obama had been nominated hours before the nomination actually occurred.

Boy, what a ballot that would be!

That would be the only legal ballot with the major parties names missing. There is some good points about this if Barr’s lawsuit goes thru.
First, it would show that NO ONE is above the law of this great state of Texas. Second, it would force all voters to the polls on election day to “write-in a person of their choice”, which a voter has the right to due. Third, it would take away the fears of the electronic voting machines and the possibility of a stolen/falsified election, aleast here in Texas. Doing a “write-in” ballot, leaves a paper trail that can be easily verified.
