Needless to say, I was a bit taken aback when I walked into the Senate press room at the Capitol and heard a woman say “oh yeah, the sonogram is being performed right over there…behind the curtain.” A sonogram being done in a cramped room with 10 cameras, numerous reporters and a conga line of politicians? Needing to see this for myself, I walked behind the barrier and saw for myself a woman lying on a bed, with gel on her belly, a doctor by her side and a proud papa beaming at the image.

The curtain didn’t end up doing much good considering the group invited the media to get as many shots of the scene as they liked.
