If it’s the fast pace guitars and old-time rhythms you’re looking for you’ve found it!

The Jeremy Steding BandIn April of 2007, The Jeremy Steding Band formed as an idea between Born-Again Texan, Jeremy Steding (vocalist, songwriter) and native Texan Steve Stafford (lead guitar). Tired of over-analyzed monotony, the two vowed to perform country music the way that it originated – raw and real. Steding and Stafford share a common love for Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, Shiner Bock Beer and a belief that the band should have the most fun of anyone in the building. Now they are joined by Venny Portalatin on drums and Travis Sutherland on bass to complete the rhythm section. The Jeremy Steding Band releases their debut album Whiskey Songs and Prison Songs April 26th. Catch them live right here in Austin!

The Holiday “Pulse” Find out What’s Going On

The Holiday Season usually means the calendar fills up quickly with events, parties, and family gatherings. You could say that Austin is full of events all year round, so this year we’re trying to fill the time before we head home with the cool stuff to get us in the spirit.

Here are a few things happening to make sure you don’t lose your place on the A-list in town.

Zilker Park Trail of Lights — This Austin tradition is a great way to spend some time in our favorite city park. The lights are amazing and the crowds are always fun. You can’t help but get excited about the holiday surrounded by thousands of Christmas light displays. So, go!

Plaid Tidings, Zachary Scott Theatre — We love the Zach Scott and their events this season are no exception. Whether it’s Plaid Tidings, SantaLand Diaries, or Rockin’ Christmas Party, we know we’ll be asking a few folks to join us for the holiday fun. (If you’d like to win tickets to these events, check back here for our upcoming contest.)

A Tuna Christmas, Paramount Theatre — The Austin tradition doesn’t start until after Christmas, but we’ll still be taking mom to this one. We tell everybody she’s making us go, but secretly we cannot wait to see this Texas-centric holiday event.

In addition to that, we’ve got company parties and live music and even a party we’re hosting.

Look for us out on the town and maybe you’ll see yourself right here on The CW’s Pulse!
