Dry and Warm February Forecast

The Climate Prediction Center continues to forecast below normal amounts of precipitation for February and warmer than normal temperatures for Central Texas.

With such dry brush and no real relief expected, fire danger will remain high whenever the humidity drops and winds pick up. Elevated fire weather conditions continue tonight. Dry air has filtered in behind the cold front and winds will stay breezy through the evening. By Sunday morning, the wind will become calm and take on a light SE flow.

Sunday temperatures should rebound after a chilly morning. Highs in the 60s again are possible especially if we see more sunshine. Sunday night clouds increase again as some moisture returns. Some light drizzle and fog is possible Monday.
