Here’s a few fantastic fireworks pictures from Georgetown last night. Thanks to Randy Heisch for sending them in.
A frontal boundary over north Texas is slowly pushing south. Showers and storms are still well to our north and west. Mostly sunny skies this afternoon have pushed temps up over 100 in Austin. We’ll break another record today. Our current record stands at 101 set in 1956.
We may see a few showers develop over the Hill Country and north of Austin this evening. Some moving SE and lingering through morning. Monday brings another chance for wet weather as the front washes out. Showers and t-storms are most likely during the afternoon. Here are the NWS forecasted precip chances for tonight and Monday.
Unfortunately this won’t be a huge rain event, HPC’s QPC is only indicating light accumulations.
With additional cloud cover and hopefully some rain, temperatures could stay in the mid to upper 90s.
